Process

The MGTEI Early Childhood Development and Education (0–6) Program offers a comprehensive pathway for adult learners seeking Montessori certification through two specialized courses: Infant & Toddler (0–3) and Early Childhood (2.5–6). These certification programs are designed for individuals who wish to work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten-aged children in authentic Montessori environments.

To be recognized as a candidate for certified Montessori guide, candidates must successfully complete all academic coursework and the required practicum specific to each certification level.

In 2020 MGTEI applied for accreditation with the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) for the I/T (0-3) and EC (2.5-6) certification courses, being considered a candidate in good standing.  Note: “Applicant for Accreditation” status in no way determines the outcome of the accreditation decision by MACTE.
